This well known Manager is looking for a Macroeconomic Analyst to join their dynamic team.


The specific responsibilities will include:


  • Monitor and assess the asset class implications of global economic trends, including growth, inflation, monetary policy and fiscal policy.
  • Additional research tasks as directed by senior members of the investment department, including economic research and charting analysis.
  • Contribute to the writing of papers to be tabled at the Investment Committee and Board and for external presentations, relating to economic outlook and asset allocation strategy.
  • Maintain and assist in the evolution of spreadsheets and automated chart packs covering market developments, asset class outlooks and economic environment/macro trends.
  • Maintain and assist in the evolution of tactical asset allocation processes for the asset classes including equities, bonds, credit, unlisted assets and FX.
  • Track the assumptions priced into financial markets, including corporate earnings growth, interest rate path and inflation. Track developments in the economic consensus and the risks to that consensus.



The successful candidate will ideally have an economics background from with treasury, funds management or similar.

The Role Description

Reporting directly to the Head of Audit Services in a flat structure and team of 5 you will have responsibility for leading and participating in the planning and execution of internal audit projects (across operational, IT, financial, project governance, fraud investigation, risk & controls and compliance audits). The role will be hands-on and with exposure to business process re-engineering, transformation, advisory work and more. Key duties include:

• Execution of audit programs in accordance with Audit Plans
• Developing practical and value added recommendations in well written audit reports
• Proactively liaising with management, external auditors and co-sourcing parties
• Providing expertise in internal control and business process improvement
• Engaging with stakeholders on an ongoing basis to enhance business knowledge, ensure risks are identified and provide timely value added feedback
• Driving innovation and improvement to audit processes continuously
• Sharing knowledge with the team, providing leadership and constantly developing skills to remain a leader in your field

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will be a highly skilled and technically competent Big 4 trained Internal Audit professional. It is essential that you have reached manager level and developed a consultative approach, gained project management experience, outstanding stakeholder engagement skills and a strength in business process risk and controls. Key personal attributes that will ensure your success in this role include:
